This is one of the photoshop work practice taken from one of my job poster. As the model in the middle, I have used the skill to edit the color tone.
The model's face is divided to two parts, the left hand side is with color and the left hand side is used the channel mixer to turn the original color to black and white. Besides, I also added a layer above the left hand side face. I used brushes to add color onto this additional layer. The opacity of the brushes are made to 15%, so this bring a very soft and natural feelings to the whole picture. Also i have changed the brightness/ contrast of the right hand side face, Overall, this give a big contrast of two parts of the face.

Do video sharing sites such as youtube enhance or worsen creative culture?
The video i choose is the Beatles' Lucy in the sky with diamond. As I think that the trend and the idea of making music video is starting from Michael Jackson,to extract the elements from the songs, together with the act of the singers, to make a video with songs, story, theme and the singer. So when i watched this video, it brought a very funny feelings to me. It is very interesting to see the animated cartoons and colorful stuff shining. Since this is a song of the Beatles from very long time ago, it is very lucky to have youtube- a video sharing platform, to see the videos made long time ago.It also changed my mind that the idea of making music video is started before Michael Jackson.
The benefits of youtube as a sharing platform, it can let people upload very old video to give new inspiration to nowadays movie and video makers. Such as the above Beatles' music video do give many inspiration to the Internet community.Here is one of the example, the music video-Woo Weekend (singer BOA)
BOA's music video is adding the animated elements and the singer together. After watching these two music videos, i think that youtube is really acting as a very good sharing and inspiring platform. At least after i watching thee two video, i would have a passion too make such kinds of video. I think youtube is also encourage people to make their own video and than share it through youtube, this is clearly that youtube also acting as a encouraging and inspiring role.
Someone said that youtube is worsen the creative culture and create a bad phenomenon such as the "Bus Uncle" issue, if the youngsters watch this video, they may learn the bad behavior and finally affect the whole society. However i think that it is not the truth. Because as youtube become more and more popular, it is also become more and more systematic, people can report the video which is not appropriate. So the above problems can be solved easily.
In my point of view, youtube's benefits are much greater than its damages. People can share their videos, they can give comments to let people to have improvements, indeed, youtube can also help people doing their researches, provide some useful information and help people to learn. The internet community can choose what they want to watch, get inspiration to make, and bring fun to their life.
From the youtube statistic, there were at least 34,190,488 people have watched this video. To rate this video, i think it is quite interesting. This video is not having high technical values, as Chris Crocker is taking this video by himself, there is nothing change of the camera angles, no change of the light. However, it is a interesting video because it contains very interesting speech. He is talking about Britney, ask the public and the paparazzi stop chasing Britney, and he speaking in a very emational tone, also the content of the speech is quite indignant, as the viewer who know Britney Spears, would think this is a very funny and interesting video. Besides, this video raise some interesting socio-cultural issues, it's talking about the media's attitude nowadays, how to 'dig' the issues of the artists, bringing the pressure to artists, besides, it's also show nowadays the fans attitude toward the artists. They actually treat the artist as their close friends/ family. It seems a little bit over to act as a fan like this.
I think it deserved the attention from the internet community. It is because Chris Crocker's act is too over, After watching it serval times, i think he is so emotional seems that Britney's issue is happening on him, it is quite abnormal, maybe he will do something negative which harm himself. And I also think that there are many fans in the world is acting like him. That deserved us to pay attention.
